I am selling my kayak trailer that I built Oct 2013 (approx. 18 months ago). This trailer was built from an 18ft boat trailer that I cut and shortened. It will hold 2 kayaks up to 14ft long and as wide as a Pro Angler. The dimensions are 14.5’ long from tongue to rear and 7.5’ wide from fender to fender. The trailer has two 6ft strips of blue SuperNova Fishing lights underneath. It has a homemade bunk system that will allow you to widen/shorten the width of the 4” PVC to adjust to your hull. It also allows you to raise and lower to accommodate different hull shapes from front to rear. It has a small storage box up front to keep tools, straps, bungees and other assorted items. I will also be including the following with the trailer:
-a ball/tongue lock
-a padlock for the tongue
-a steel cable lock to secure your kayak to the trailer
-a collapsible lug wrench
-a new spare tire with lock
The trailer has 175/80 – 13” wheels and has no problem being pulled at 70+mph…it pulls very straight, doesn’t bounce and backs easily. It’s wide enough you can see both fenders in your mirrors.
I completely rebuilt this trailer and everything is NEW on it. It had a few small pits of rust that were cut out and replaced. I cut out the center braces and installed new 2x4” tubing. The entire trailer was coated with Rustoleum Bed Liner, however it has some chips due to normal use. Two cans of krylon and it will look like brand new! This trailer could very easily have two upper rails built and haul 4 total kayaks. The best part about this kayak is that you can rig up, attach your anchor line to the front handle, back down the ramp, push the boat off and drag it to the dock…..after you part the trailer you get in and never have wet feet in the winter!!!!!

I am asking a very fair, but firm price of $900. Look around and find another trailer new or used that comes with all this set up ready to go for that price….you can’t. This trailer was built to last!
