Been there 3 time several years ago and never caught a fish. Gave up on it and went to Proctor.

Scan the river/creek channels in 10-25' of water. My half brother does well there during the summer.

The water is up and lots of the flats that were exposec for 5 or 6 years are now flooded. There are fish to be caught in Brownwood, boat docks and creek channels are where I would go. The flooded flats let the fish scatter and will be hard to locate, willows with 4-5 feet of water look tempting but you could fish a long time on something that looks good but isn't. I would stay with the boat docks.....

Thanks ... Was wanting to go to a close lake, to try out my "new to me" boat...
It doesn't have the electronics on it yet, And I knew it would be a waste of my time to go without them.
I will get them installed this week and give it a try at a later date.
I went to Granbury and smacked the stripers a little, on a lake I knew a little about.
