I plan on fishing Rockport and taking my boat, an 18ft Bay Stealth. My question is how far can I take the boat out? Are there any rigs? Is it possible to take it far enough to fish for Snapper?

You'd have to run from Rockport to Port A to get out to the rigs. Not a bad run for any boat, red snapper are definitely doable; just make sure you pick a calm day to go out, an 18 footer can get tossed around offshore and the weather can change in a hurry. Goodluck!
I say we fish 5 days a week and work 2.
