Had a nice day today at Hubbard. Landed 6 nice blues, with one over 9 lbs. Best part of the trip, I left the lake with the same rig I tied on this morning. smile

Question for the board. Is there such a thing as a kayak cart that doesn't suck?

Awesome catch. It's always great to not have to change your rig, especially while on a kayak.

As for a kayak cart that doesn't suck. I doubt it. After my last attempt at using my kayak cart, I'm very seriously considering strapping my kayak to a dolly next time..
Or maybe hiring a sherpa.

I'd love to see some pics of it.

FYI, I was out there sunday and caught good gizzards on the bottom by the old marina at dalrock and behind the old burned out heath bridge in 12-19 foot. They are not bunched up and were in the vedge on the bottom, don't go without a good deep water net.

The only thing I will do different is put fat tires on instead of skinny lawnmower tires.
It just slides in the scupper holes and away you go. Don't have to strap or tie down and it stays under the kayak.

I have read that scupper kayak carts weakens the seam inside the scupper and will cause a leak in most kayaks and it is not recommended. That's why I built this for under $30. Works great. It'll run over anything in its way.

I followed these instructions.

That is what I really like about this page more creativity than instructables . com. I really like that catfish. They are so much fun to pull in.
