 Humminbird 858c DI issue

Put in a new thru hull transducer and the down imaging won't work.... Sonar etc seem to be fine and reading very close to the bow mounted humminbird DI. Anyone have any ideas? When I change the screen to down imaging it just shows a dark screen. Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks, I did not know that, the guy at cabelas did not know that or neglected to tell me, I will get a transducer mounted on the jack plate. Thank you sir
