To me it is simply broken down like this.....if you just need to keep drinks cold for the day pretty much any ol' cooler is going to work for you. If you are removing yourself from civilization for a few days then yes I can see where the Yeti will be of great benefit.

I have the K2 brand of coolers, on in the 20 and one in the 50. Even the 20 is heavy when loaded, my next purchase will be the Yeti Hopper 20.

I just bought my first Yeti and it is better than my nice Coleman of same size, but not much better. It also holds less and is heavier with that extra insulation. I just took on a hot Axis hunt and ice barely lasted a day in it. Like a Ferrari vs. Corvette, you are paying 200% more for 20% more performance.

Seems like an honest unbiased opinion....

The built in cooler on my 93 Bass Cat P2 keeps ice all day. Like said earlier you have to condition your cooler. I have a Yeti 35 and the only reason I have it is because I got it free when I bought my new F150. It keeps ice for a few days but I have to give it to Yeti on their insulation. When the ice turns to water it stays cold for a lot longer than any other cooler I have had. As far as a cooler on you BB. Get something your comfortable with the price that will keep your stuff cold long enough for you. I like the Coleman Extremes. They are good coolers for the price.

For me the easiest way to see if a product is overpriced is to look at the accessories.

Only $25.

As much grief as I give their coolers their 20oz and 30oz tumblers are legit.

This is exactly the way I see it. The difference between an Coleman extreme and a Yeti is not really worth the money, to me. I have an ice machine at my house and it makes ice faster than it can melt in my Coleman.

They are way overpriced and they are not even the best ice chest on the market, to me I think certain people buy them because they think it makes a status statement. To me I look at these people and think, what an idiot!!!
