When the water is high I fish in and around flooded timber. If the water is rising then to me it seems that the fish go shallow, but as the lake starts to fall then they move closer to the main body of water. They will still be in the flooded timber but closer to the main body of water.

I'm still fishing in 3ft of water along the shore line in the flooded weeds. Pulled these out Thursday am in one hour. Caught on my home made dough bait. Threw back a few under 14".
From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."
Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

I fish the flooded vegetation in the shallows. I fish shallow till the sun comes up high then I move deep and try the shadow side of stumps and brush. If there in the shallows they should be feeding. Don't for get your soured chum. It makes a world of difference.
