Chan, Kyle and Pat caught their limit by 7:30am. Caught about 30 fish before we ran out of bait. Excellent morning. Started early. Pictured herein are a few of the fish caught.

Fox Sports Southwest filmed a show on PK 6-29 based on my input. You may want to watch it this week or next. smile

Well that aught to keep the non locals away. PK was muddy.

Yep, Possum Kingdom is a muddy Texas lake. Nothing to see...

I can't wait until the lake clears and all that flotsam sinks to the bottom. It's getting better every day but there's still a wad of it about 15 feet down that looks like bait and fish.

Agreed, PK is a muddy lake with fish that are very tough to catch. Experts indicate it will be like this all Summer. Unless you are local or use one of our expert guides, fishing time and effort would be best spent elsewhere.

Must be pretty darn bad conditions. That bass tourney last weekend some measly weights that took first and second place. I wouldn't waste my gas money on the lake right now, except for maybe this weekend. hammer

It's clearing up down at the dam. Night fishing will be excellent once that happens. if my better half will let me have an evening with out some social event, I'll post some results on green light fishing. I have no doubt it will be very good especially with live bait.

Is anyone catching anything at PK? Went out Friday am early. Used live bait and trolled for a few hours and didn't get a nibble. Saw 5 other boats trolling and don't think anyone caught anything. Didn't even see anything on the sonar that looked big enough to be a game fish.

Chris: I've struggled even at night under the green light. I think huge numbers of fish went over the flood gates. I saw many five gallon buckets full of stripers go out of the Brazos when they were releasing water.

Lot's of 8-15 inch stripers. Buy some crappie minnows or catch some ghost minnows and use a number 8 hook and you can catch them at night. I try not to catch them but they hit everything they see and it's unavoidable. They seem to be in the same schools as bigger sand bass.

Agreed. No fish at PK. Recommend choosing another lake - many better choices that have fish.

Dear Buch-

My best advice for your kids is to pick another lake that is producing fish or hire a professional PK guide. PM if you need a recommendation. Always like to see someone take a child fishing, but if they are like mine, they do like catching too! Buena suerte. Cat

I think Catfish676 doesn't want anyone on his lake noidea

I'll be out there this weekend in the wife's boat and a few scouts. Look forward to the challenge and scenery. If it's always about catching for the kids.... Then your teaching it all wrong!!!!

Fish finder does not lie. Lots of fish went into the Brazos and were carried out in full five gallon buckets. PK was going to be awesome this year. Had gobs of 18-20 inch stripers. Once they opened the flood gates lots of them went out.
