My G/F and I were talking of going to Destin but the hotel prices are jacked up for that weekend. So now we're looking at Freeport or Venice. Unfortunately we're going to have to party boat it. Probably a 12 hr. I've been to Freeport once and it was over 10 yrs ago and I don't remember the boat.
So if anyone can give me a suggestion, I'd like to try Venice as I've never been there. I also want to find a boat that will allow overhead casting. I'm really big on fishing with Jigs (Lures).

Freeport there is the Blue Fin use to be Capt. Elliot's but they sold out. The Big "E" is or was in Venice La. last I heard? Venice you need to book well in advance no walk on stuff all private charters there. Your best bet is going to be Fisherman's Wharf Port "A" or Galveston Capt. Johns and New Buccaneer party boats. Call ahead to book something bro.
