Getting close to where I can get my tying supplies out of storage and tye some more: Since the weather and the lake levels won't cooperate with fishing: and it's 2' higher now. I have been spending all my free time cutting a few trees for firewood: But still have a little more to go, and have to burn (which my wife doesn't want me to) or haul off the limbs: But the good news is that I should be tying soon!

Congrats on the house, looks awesome! This has been a hard year for me and fishing. Got to do some for a while, just not as much as I wanted to and then my boat house broke the outside post and had to get fixed so have not been fishing in probably 6 weeks if not longer!
Also looks like you have a lot of yard work to still do!

I thought you are a crappie fisherman! Who burns brush when you could sink it instead?

Yep!! ^ what he said. Sink'em!! Yeah, thought about it, but wife just wants it gone...and yes, Skip, I do have some yard work. They are suppose to clean the yards up, some, but I told them to not include sodding. I will just sow a few bags of Bermuda seeds. I have been looking at Craigslist to find some bamboo to transplant and start a boo bucket factory. I got a perfect spot in the back to let it run like wildfire! Gonna mess with cleaning the brush up tomorrow and make it to some lake on Sunday. Probably just go to Alvarado, since the Brook is still way too high. Tried Waxahachi a couple times, but mostly just caught sandbass and ditch pickles.

Nice house, good start on low maintenance but bermuda grass is nice but a better choice and less expensive in the long run is astrosturf.

Better watch out for the strain of bamboo, some of that stuff is hard to contain!
