The lake is closed for the time being, unless you're bank fishing.

That's news. When did that happen? Saw people out there fishing on Tuesday evening, and the high water parking lot ramp at the marina was open.

Yea I went across the dam on Saturday and to my amazement saw lots of ski boats out there. Are they launching at the marina, or are these just boats that are in slips out of the marina?

Well, the ramps on the east side of the lake have been closed for a while, I was assuming it was that way all over the lake. I guess the marina could be open. I'm between boats right now, so I haven't been out.
Anybody use a ramp at Ray Bob lately?

Just like in the Grapevine thread.... all Corps of Engineers run facilities are closed. Neither the marina nor their ramp is owned or operated by the Corps, therefore it is up to the Marinas discretion as to whether or not they will allow people to launch at their ramp. Initially when the water came up the Marina was not going to allow anyone other than slip owners use their ramp, I cant vouch if this has changed or not... but I will say that the lake is NOT closed to all boating.

Marina ramp is open to public, I used it last Saturday. Most unloading and loading were ski boats and pleasure boats. Gets really busy later in the day.

And best advice would be bring someone with you , so they can throw you off the trailer, shallow ramp, Gotta back the boat until your tailpipe is nearly underwater

Launched there today by myself, had to get my feet wet. I had 16 bass nothing over 3 1/2 lbs. I had to cover a lot of water to catch em.
