I finally got to do a little product testing yesterday on my baits. I had great success with my 1.5 square bills and they ran great, but my 2.5 run extremely shallow and had a much wider wobble. Is that normal for them? The bait was almost doing a 180 every time it turned back and forth and had to be realed slowly to keep from turning on its side and rolling. I was using size 4 hooks front and back and had an oval split ring on the front of the bait to tie off to if that matters.

Are they weight transfer 2.5? Where did you buy them from? I run short shank 2's on my 2.5 and have noticed the last order I bought runs the same way. I need to see where I ordered them from.

They are the holographic 2.5 from cedar run outdoors. I hope they don't all run like that cause I bought 30 of them.

Yes I did. The concrete sealer I have doesn't even come close to having as nice of a finish as D2T even after 4 coats.

I think I also put D2T on the bills. I bet that is the issue.

I think I also put D2T on the bills. I bet that is the issue. I coat all my bills and haven't seen any problems. Check to be sure all the weights inside the bait move freely. I had a 2.5 that had the biggest weight stuck on one side of the little channel it was in. Also make sure all the hook rings and line ring are lined up right. If you have a blob of d2t on one side if the bill it could affect the bait
