you shoulda frogged that frog! I actually had one grab my senko @ Bethany Park this year. When I pulled him out of the water I had to lift him up an overhang where he would jump over the edge immediately once touching the ground. When I got him to stay up there it kinda felt like a dog on a leash as he hopped around.

Did it myself a few months back at some ponds in Beaumont. He kept waking up to it but wouldn't hit it and I guess he finally had enough. Got him into open water and he actually put up a decent fight with those big flippers.

Snake on a frog is also an epic adventure... I have had them follow a frog really close... Never had one eat it though.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

About 5-6 weeks back I had three water snakes on frogs on Lake Bastrop. None of them got the hook from what I could tell. I pulled all three a distance towards the boat trying to get them off. The one that reached the boat was definitely a cotton mouth. He was pissed and seemed to just be holding on to the plastic. Unfortunately for me he came off right at the boat. Fortunately for me he struck the decal(I think) on the side of my boat and headed back to the reeds after some tense moments. I had my dog with me and fortunately he was bored with fishing already and sleeping on the other side of my boat.
Each time I ripped my solid body frog off the hook with a pair of pliers. I wasn't sure if there was any venom in or on the plastic, but I figured if there was with the cuts in my hands from fish that it wouldn't be a good combination.
That was an odd day. There were snakes everywhere, and I didn't see one single duck (mud or otherwise) the entire day. Bastrop normally has hundreds of ducks on it.

Same thing happened the other day to me! I thought I had a fish on. I flipped my frog under some water lillies and only heard the splash. Felt the line tighten and set the hook. It's fun when you catch something random sometimes!

Nice! Not that uncommon actually. I have caught several bull frogs dragging a plastic worm across the shore in front of them. They will jump all over it.
