Okay this one is a little weird. In 2013 we bought a Ram 2500 Mega Cab. It now has a hair over 32000 miles on it. I have had the tires rotated, balanced and the front end aligned.

Now for the weird part. The factory tires (Firestone Transforce AT) have been gradually wearing more than I would think is normal. I pull the boat, I run around Houston, don't really drive it hard or in 4wd. Last night I was looking at the tires checking the wear before I hit the road a couple of times later this summer and I noticed this..........three of the tires are the same tread pattern, one is not, all are labeled the same. Checked the spare and it is not the same tire, but an HT with a different tread pattern from the 4 on the ground. Maybe this explains why the truck pulls a bit no matter what I've done.

Has anyone else seen something like this? Just curious!

Thanks.

I can understand the spare being different. I have optional BFG ATs on mine so my spare is what comes on the standard trucks and therefore different. The ATs were probably an upgrade. As for the tread check the manufacture date on the sidewall. One tire could be older and Firestone changed the tread pattern. The tread diff should not cause the truck to pull. Now uneven wear might cause the pulling. As far as wear you have a tire eater there. If those are load range Es then make sure they are aired up real good.

Thanks Stump Jumper, I will check the dates, makes sense there. I agree it is a tire eater, it will get Michelin LTX's next.

None of the OEM tires have a long tread life. They are made to the vehicle manufacturers specifications.

depends on what you call OEM. I have BFG ATs from the factory. Now if you by OEMs you mean standard OEMs then I agree.

Funny I called the dealer and discussed it at length with their "customer service" person, that was last week and not even a sorry, or its no big deal, whatever.

I will go to Michelins next.
