I feel like a kid at Christmas time. The new boat is about 3 weeks away.

Gonna be plenty of deckspace on that bad boy. What are the dimensions?

The boat is a 2072. I am not sure how wide the deck is.

You are getting way more deck space this time around.

The last boat was a duck hunting boat I made to use for hunting/fishing. This one is a bass boat hull that my dad and I designed the interior. I like a lot of deck. The aluminum is .190. It should be nice when they get it done.

Yeah, I noticed the hull was different. Are you keeping the other boat as well?

Yes, I have sold my bass boats. The older boat will now be a crappie / hunting rig.

It looks like the seat pedestals are in the lids for your storage. Have you done that before? Does it really work? It seems like it would have too much stress and would pull the lids open if you grabbed on the seat to steady yourself. I'm just curious because I like considering new ideas.

The lids have latches. The aluminum is thick. No stress on the lids, no problem.

The paint is complete - the deck is not painted as it will be covered in Hydroturf. They should start the rigging next week.
