So everyone can't rest easy! I have broke my famous rod!  just to let everyone know change your braid every so often. Extensive line twist coupled with over use can make it brittle causing your line to break on a hook set and your rod to crash into your power pole resulting in a one piece rod being turned into a two piece rod!

It was a tough day on the water yesterday. I managed to squeak out a win with my one 18" fish. It was great seeing everyone, looking forward to doing it again. Thanks again to Mariner Sails for putting on this series and thanks to all the folks that do the work hosting the events. I look forward to these events. If you haven't fished a Mariner series yet, you are missing out. This is the way I wish all kayak tournaments could be.

Congratulations to Coach P(1st), Grease Bath(2nd), and Kevin Upchurch(3rd)! Dallas won the $50 gift certificate to Mariner Sails and Troy won first out Papa's Bait gift certificate. It was really tough conditions. The last few trips I made I knew it would be but not like it was. Like most our lakes it had a big swing in water level this year. We did had a mix bag of fish caught but only a few got the bass needed.  we should have done a trash fish side pot  Big thanks to everybody that came and fish!!!

Big thanks to Mariner Sails, Todd and everyone else who helps put these tournaments on, they are definitely something to look forward to! You know it's a bad day on the water when 3rd place is a 12-1/4" fish! Looking forward to the Fork tourney now!
