Start trimming engine up and it should level out....also check tab on lower unit cavitation plate for adjustment.

Mine does the same thing...1997 Champion with 150 Merc EFI. Tried changing the tab on bottom several different ways to no avail. Guess I will just live with it.

normal, 'specially with cable type steering....play with it (trim button) till ya finda "happy medium" ya might be able ta live with... that little "tab" ain't gonna do much once ya get on tha gas..."torque tab", set up, is only solution that will help if necessary...

Only boats I have not been able to correct starts with an N. TLW is correct on the torque tab being a fix for steering pull. Props also can make a big difference. Not trimming all down on takeoff will help.

I had a 1993 BassCat PII with a 200 Merc. EFI that pulled hard to the right. I switched to a four bladed prop and it helped a lot!

I am on my trim up as soon as the bow starts to come down. If I do not then mine will pull hard to. I never run on plane without some trim. They make a torque tamer that goes on the leading edge of the skeg. I got one free from a dude that scratched the paint on my lower with a tractor. It cost me a couple of MPH so it came off. It worked well but was not worth the speed loss in my book.

ya need tha one that "welds" on tha trailin' edge... not tha one tha screws, glued or whatever on tha side of tha skeg..don't understand a speed loss but all my gear cases get "surfaced" which might make a difference...

I mistyped. Mine was on the trailing edge. I lost 2 MPH. I riveted in on. I took it off and filled the holes.

So for two miles an hour you are driving a boat that will be a hazard if you should be dislodged from the seat or boat????? Now I understand, you can't tell the difference in 5 mph. much less 2mph. without a good gps. noidea

I would agree with you , but then we would both be WRONG !!!!!

yeah Stump, I knew what ya was sayin'....

JIG, some are jus plain 'ole "deranged freaks" and some are not!

but believe it or not some that run tha same boat/motor combination over n over can tell if something is amiss no mater how small it may seem ta be.. tha racers (boat) I deal with can tell ya when there is 2 tenths of second difference in there junk without even lookin' at tha data......

That is why they make kill switches. I can tell a difference it is called looking at my tach.
