Only needed a shad dot, but I forgot my stencils and wasn't going to chance messing them up free handing.

Wow, Brad those are beautiful. I am wanting some just like that but with the mesh lines in chrome, which outlines each scale.

Beautiful work. Try using the back side of drill bits for your dots. They're easier, you have more size options, and turn out great every time.

Very nice....large scale mesh on the back of the 2.5's looks good thumb. Holographic baits are fantastic on sunny days...they have just the right flash to attract fish.

I'm hoping to try them out Sunday, really want to test out the little John squarebill.
Have some plans of trying a few different things with these holographic blanks. Tilapia and a few other shad patterns.

Going to test them out tomorrow will have the little John squarebill and 1.5dd tied on with enough sunshine I bet they will put some fish in the boat. Been catching my bigger fish in about 8ft lately on points so I think the 1.5dd should really catch em.

Wow Brad they are amazing! You have the talent!!

The more I read posts like these, the more I want to do this for a Hobby!!! My RonRig success started as a hobby, but no doubt this would stay a hobby. Thanks to everyone for answering my questions. Now to find the right kit for me, as I have noticed paints can be a bit expensive.

Where do ya'll buy the mesh? I got some from Barlows, but I see there are different sizes etc.

Ron

PS Nick,
I have been following your "hobby" since that phone conversation, man you are really getting good.

Ron, you can buy mesh in the fabric section at Walmart or hobby lobby. It's alot cheaper than buying from the bait venders. They have several sizes, I like the small mesh for 1.5 and other small baits and medium for 2.5 and deep divers. I buy a yard at a time and it goes a long way. I usually stick to bright colors of mesh bright orange or yellow it is easier for me to see how much paint I'm putting on the bait that way and also easier to see how the mesh is formed to the baits.

I looked last night on amazon and didn't see the kit I originally puchased, but if I remember correctly it came from tcp global or something to that effect. They still have a bunch of stuff listed on amazon and all their kits are available from them directly. Also another place to look would be coast airbrush online they have some very nice stuff from entry level to high end equipment.

I have been spraying with my masters g22 lately because the nozzle to my iwata neo is messed up and I haven't had a chance to get by hobby lobby for a replacement.

Thanks for the kind words, when you get up and going you will be suprized how fast you will make improvements. I still have a bunch of improving to do to catch up with some of the other painters on here.
