spot is filled. Thanks everyone for the interest

Have you heard of Private Water Fishing and considered joining? maybe you're not familiar with it but want to learn more? I'm a member and typically fish the club lakes more than public lakes. If you've considereded joining and want to fish a club lake to learn more, shoot me a pm and we will make arrangements. I'm planning on fishing daylight to noon this Sunday, June 28th. I haven't made a reservation yet so we can coordinate that together. It will cost you the 1/2 day rate at the lake of your choice plus the clubs $15 fee for a non-member. It will take a little coordination because only members can log in and see which lakes are available. Anytime you make a reservation you get the lake to yourself so we will be the only ones there.

To see the lakes, or learn more about the club visit www.privatewaterfishing.com

I have 2 way radios so we can communicate on the water without having to be on top of each other.

I guess I should also mention this is limited to one person (2 tops) so be sure and respond soon and only if serious.

I've considered joining.

How would you rate your fishing experience since joining? How much it the membership?

Memberships are listed on the pricing page. It depends if you join by yourself, with your family or with a group. I just renewed my membership so I thought enough of it to join a second year. It's $200 higher the first year than subsequent.

I will say the club is very well managed. On the sites forum a few things have come up from time to time and I've always been pleasantly surprised how well things were handled. For example, a lake like Cleburne 6.0 is a club favorite and may look to be booked for 2 weeks straight. You make a reservation thinking the fish have been hammered. In reality it was only fished twice a week (I forget if it's twice or three times) and the other days are black out days to minimize pressure.

The sites are beautiful and all are managed to make them better. Some are great for numbers and are inexpensive and others are true trophy lakes. Some have boats and some don't. Some have concrete ramps and some don't. Some allow outside boats and a few don't.

All in all its a great bargain to me.

As an aside, this is just something I thought of. It's not a membership drive, ad or other. Just me asking if anyone wants to try it. The club isn't aware of this offer

And you should check out the site and the "fishing locations" page. Each site has several pictures of the lake and any cabins if offered.

Well my first reaction is "on crud" to the price but realistically, what I spend on hunting, most folks would say the same thing.

That was my first reaction too. I tossed it around a year before I joined. Once I was aware of the club each time I got waked, cut off or had to deal with otherwise rude people on the water I asked myself what I would pay to have the lake to myself.

All of a sudden the club's value sky rocketed

are you allowed to bring guests fishing with you?

Yes. You may bring the same guest up to 3 times a year. After that they prefer that person join as a member. It's the normal day rate plus a $15 guest fee.
