Hate seeing these type of stories, not our area but a good reminder to be safe on swollen rivers with swift current. Go ahead and keep that PFD on when you're near the river bank. Better safe than sorry...

Dang. Thats terrible. Its a good idea when river fishing or boating to have a throw rope or rescue rope.

That is a tough one, I remember we used to play around the White River in Arkansas and thought nothing of ever being swept away

So tragic. So many times people die trying to save others. I had a friend who took his two young sons fishing one of them fell in and Joe jumped in and saved his young son but died saving him.
