All the ramps are closed... I have a 4wd and a tilt trailer... if I can get my trailer tires to the water I can launch. Does anyone know of some place where I can safely sneak my trailer down to the waters edge?

Was looking at Google maps up around the north end... Looks like up by trophy club there might be some back roads that get me pretty close.

To be clear , I do not want to have to go around any barricades.

Drive around the likely spots and look for empty boat trailers hooked up to vehicles!

Just one more cast!

Me and Piper launched his john boat in the bar ditch at the end of Dove Rd one year when the lake was flooded. There were no barricades there.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Don't do it, GW will not give you a break. They are spread thin at this time and will show no mercy. If the lake is closed, the lake is closed!

Lakes are closed by the governing bodies for a reason. Usually boating in a high water condition carries the risk of causing further damage to someones home which may already be under water. If you are stupid enough to go on a lake that is officially closed to the public, then you deserve whatever the heavy hand of the law deals out and then some. Better yet, save yourself the gas money and just mail a check to TPWD or COE and tell them it is for thinking about being stupid. That also frees up the GWs to do things that really do need to get done instead of chasing down idiots who have no regard for anyone but themselves.

Well, aside from you suggesting I cant boat and not cause damage, I wasn't aware that the LAKE was closed... in fact i heard there is a usable ramp at the south end who is gauging people at 20 bucks to launch.

No, he agreed with a guy who believes that when a body of water is deemed closed by it's governing authority, it means there is a reason for it and means just that.. CLOSED!! It ain't rocket science.

Not closed to the best of my knowledge... But why? It is 28' over pool. Grapevine is my lake...and I wouldn't touch it with a 10' pole.

If the lake is not closed pardon me, my bad. But he did say "sneak my boat" on to the lake. It was also stated regarding launching for $20 after my comment. Bob Landry, BryanTX01, myself and the majority of TFF'ers believe in playing by the rules and obeying the law and not giving fishermen a bad name. If you have a problem with people obeying the law, well sir you are part of the problem.
