My brother and I do a large amount of our fishing over at PK. Caught some hogs this recent spring, but ever since the rain and stain, we're having some serious struggles landing any breed of bass. I can't help but think the 3-6 inch visibility it getting the better of us. You can catch blue catfish all day but we're not too interested in that. We've tried all of our soft plastics (worms and craws), mostly green, watermelon and dark blue. As well as blue and white spinners, brown jigs and plenty of cranks, mostly bluegil for me. All with zero bites this past weekend and only a couple over the past 5+ weeks. I'm really curious as to what depths and lure type/color people having success there are using at PK. The fishing was getting really good there up until those storms. Any info from the PK pros would be great help.
Lines tight, dudes.

Hubbard Creek and Stamford are the same way. Just going to take time for the water to clear and the bite to come back.

Always been told fish head shallow when the water colors up and stick close to cover. But I'm far from a PK pro. I hate muddy water-I'll go anywhere to get away from it. Which is why I have always liked PK-its usually fairly clear on the lower end. Is Graham a muddy mess too?

I'm pretty sure a good chunk of it came from that muddy brazos and not just the now underwater beaches. Even west texas got so much rain this year that when it rains as far as Lubbock, it makes its way all the way to PK a while afterwards. It's been a pretty steady pour-in lately. Levels can go up 6 inches overnight with little to no rain. Graham gets its share from brazos too though. It got some of that muddy love no doubt.

Are you sure? My fingers are tellin me so. They've tied so many knots trying so many baits lately that I'm gonna cramp up just typin this! I ordered a new fish finder today out of frustration. I'm letting it get under my skin >< And I know a frustrated fisherman catches a lot less fish. I've noticed they also get more baitcast birds nests...

Find some fresh water spilling in as far back in some of the creeks and the bass will be there.

Fish shallow, tight to cover and slow down!! The water is warm and the fish eat as much in muddy water as they do in clear water, if the food is present of course. Best day I had on PK was April of 2008, visibility was about 4-6 inches! Never listen to that Robbie guy! Only thing he can catch is a skunk in the boat!! :-P

OK tbates one more time THE BRAZOS DOES NOT RUN INTO LAKE GRAHAM ANYWHERE PERIOD.

Slowing down is probably the best advice. I never stop trying shallow. Its a habbit I can't break even if I wanted to. I'm sure I'm not giving bait its respected time.
