Let's say you have waypoints that you are going to fish in a tournament. No matter what the dock talk is you are going to fish these waypoints. Tournament is on Saturday would you fish these waypoints on Thursday?

If you are going to fish them no matter what, then I wouldn't. If you are up in the air, maybe a few minutes each to affirm your convictions.

I agree with this....if you KNOW you're going to fish them in the tournament, then why risk catching a big one there on Thursday.

I wouldn't. If I felt confident that was where the fish were I'd stay away until Saturday. Pre-fishing anywhere within 3 days of a tourney, I'll stay off of my productive spots until tournament day and fish where I've never fished before to locate some new spots. A couple of bites and then I'll leave them alone too.

I go test them, but not set the hook on anything. If you using a moving bait, then bend the hooks over to keep anything from hooking up.

before you commit a tournament day to a few spots I would be sure there are fish there.

Waypoints you got from someone or waypoints you know typically hold fish?

I think a lot of it depends on what lake you are on to some extent. On Fork, many of those bass repopulate an area quickly. Tawak, Hubbard, etc., heck no you don't fish them two days before.

As stated above, graphing an area and throwing without the proper hooks are great methods for two days before.

If they are off shore waypoints I would go get familiar with the spots and hook one fish per spot.
