Was bank fishing yesterday and was robbed blind by sandbass i think. Every fresh shad i put on a circle hook was ripped off. All i felt was a tap tap and it was gone. I even tried a double hook rig, didnt help. What do you guys do when this happens? Besides start trying to catch sandies...

Could have been gar or a bunch of 6" long channel cats.
Time to move as said above.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!

Try a smaller hook or a far larger shad. I'm assuming these were threadfins or small gizzards? I prefer very large gizzards, perch or cut carp/buff for this very reason.
