I searched for this topic, didn't find one, my apologies if this has already been covered.
If there is a website, link or links that will answer all this please let me know and i will delete the post.
Buying side:
Looking to buy first bass boat at the end of summer. I will have about 5k to put down. looking to spend up to 15k maybe 20k if its the right fit.. Need some guidance on the process. Lets say i find a boat take a look at it and want to purchase. Do i immediately apply for a loan at the place i will choose to get financing? Credit is high 700s and low 800s, don't think will have issue getting the loan. How do banks evaluate the real price? what lengths loans should i expect? Do they have persons evaluate it the boat in person? What if seller says he wants $10k and bank says no its worth $8500. How long does it take to get the money? Do sellers understand that its a process and normally persons don't show up with a briefcase with cash? Whats a standard time frame a buyer and seller wait to complete the transaction? Do sellers expect that if your financing that you will probably be paying with a bank check? Is that standard practice in the dealings? How do i ensure that its not stolen? How do i gain the title? and i think thats enough questions, sorry.

Any knowledge i could get is appreciated. Thank You in advance.

Talk to Ken @ Reclending. I'm pretty sure he handles transactions on used boats as well as new ones. Those guys are really good and have financial sources and will shop for the best rate. He can also advise you on the buying process so that everything goes smooth and it's a righteous deal. I'm sure most sellers out there are upfront and honest, but Ken can take a lot of the anxiety out of it. They got my loan approved in half a day. I know that's the exception rather than the rule, but it illustrates how fast these guys can work for you.
