Got the whole fam damily meeting at the FIL's lakehouse on Granbury for the 4th weekend. We did the same thing year before last, when the lake was a good bit lower than it is now, and we all had a blast. Skipped it last year due to horrible lake levels. With the lake up, it appears I might get to use the ramp at 51 that is close to his house instead of having to launch/load in town, provided the ramp is usable/not flooded.
Anyone have any info on the ramp at 51? What kind of shape it's in? Any pitfalls about using it otherwise? I would be bringing the truck/trailer back to the house, not leaving it there, fyi.
Any decent fishing up on that end of the lake? I usually fish whites/hybrids/striper, and understand that fishing for them would be better down south and will likely trailer down that way should I decide to go that far. But I plan on doing some night fishing too, once the kids are asleep, thought about hitting the lit boat docks in the area and/or setting up under the bridge and drowning a few minnows or something. I wouldn't rule out any catfishing either. Any insight that y'all can provide would be much appreciated. I possess some skills, just looking for a nudge in the right direction, so to speak.
Thanks in advance.

Oh I fully expect to be dealing with crowds anywhere and everywhere we go the whole weekend. Mainly why I am looking at nigh time as my opportunity to go fishing.
Thanks for the info on the ramp being usable.

That's not the greatest ramp to use at night. Lots of sketchy activity around there after dark. I would use the city ramp at Business 377 better lighted and more visibility.

How it all plays out remains to be seen. I might moor my boat to the FIL's dock if the weather is doable. But even if I need to load/launch the truck will be driven to me or back to the house that's less than 2 miles away. We'd spend an absolute minimum of time at the ramp. I really didn't want to have to trek all the way to 377 if I didn't have to. Especially knowing how traffic will be down that way. I will keep my head on a swivel and decide accordingly.
As for the floaters, I will be taking it easy anywhere I go being new to that part of the lake, especially at night.
The advice is much appreciated y'all.
