I woke up at 12:30am and couldn’t fall back to sleep so I decided to load up my float tube and head to Cedar Creek to fish the 198 Bridge. Following is what I learned; 1) Don’t try to fish the 198 Bridge in a float tube on a weekend!!! 2) Don’t look for Jiggum El to see if you can borrow any of his kinky little frogs (he knows which picture I am talking about). He also knows about Item # 1. 3) The high grass where I parked my car does have chiggers!!! 4) Find out who can make the 198 Bridge a ‘No Wake Zone’!!! Mostly because of the Pleasure Boats, Jet Fleas and the occasional Bass Boat (they were not pros – no jerseys) passing next to you on full plane. 5) Check your waders for any holes!!! Apparently, I do have a few holes in them and my toes look like albino prunes and my underwear are still wet as I type this (but I kind of like it). 6) Do some leg exercises every once in a while!!! You can’t go very far when the back of your hamstring keeps cramping up. 7) Only take one rod with you!!! I don’t know how I didn’t break or lose one of them. 8) Don’t think that the jar of Crappie Nibbles are water tight. Just a little water will turn a half full jar to a green paste. 9) Don’t forget your Crappie measuring thingy. More to come on that!!! 10) Don’t venture too far from where you parked. Remember that you have to go back (re-read #6). 11) Don’t tell your wife that you will be home early to spend the afternoon with her. You are Crappie Fishing so she knows you are lying as soon as you said it!!! 12) Don’t speed through Palmer. He got the car in front of me. Now for the report – I caught Crappie, Sand Bass, Yellow Bass, Catfish and ………………. wait for it ……. a damn drum. Various Chartreuse jigs at 12’. Remember the Crappie measure thingy? I caught about 15 black crappie that were not obviously 12” or better and since I didn’t have anything to measure them, they went back into the water instead of the basket. I really believe they would have measured but I didn’t want to risk 15 tickets. I did bring home two nice ones (14”) to take to my Mom (she likes Crappie Tacos). I think I will definitely remember the Crappie measure thingy next time!!!! I’m going to bed now!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good night.

Nice work. Not the wet underwear, green paste, taking too many rods, and forgetting your crappie measuring thing parts. I'm talking about the catching fish part ands getting in trouble with your wife part.

Yeah Nitro man One`s legs can get pretty fatigued after all that kicking. Try tubing with an artificial knee!

Very interesting and funny post...I made it thru the entire read. Artificial knee eh...now that could be a little painful I would reckon.

No - at lake at 6:30. Sweet boat. Steve took me to RR in that boat - FAST Ride.
Thanks Dave.
Ouch Horace.
10" is legal but wasn't sure of actual length so back they went.
PM back to you.
Thanks and Yep.
I'm sleep typing so not sure if the responses made any sense.
