Well I've had the opportunity to participate in one of more rare and cool sport fishing seasons that exist in my opinion. Last week me and my buddy took off for a four day camping/fishing trip on the Yellowstone river by the Montana/ North Dakota state line. The goal was to land a paddlefish! The adventure was a success to say the least. This has been one of the coolest things I've ever done. I know I will be returning every year now to try and snag another hard fighting spoonbill!

Nice job guys, You know you can do that in Oklahoma also. Save time and money. Of course you can't compete with the scenery of Montana either. When I was a kid, the Yellowstone was in my back yard. That was In Glendive, where a caught my first Sturgeon!

There's a place just north east of Glendive that's called Intake Dam.It is a small dam on the river that creates a barrier where paddlefish can't go upstream. They snag a lot of paddlefish there or at least they used to! My dad would go there all the time.

I heard about that. We got ours by the confluence. After catching one I was hooked. I will be back every year now. A fascinating fish to say the least.
