To crest at 536.3 feet tonight, Bill raised the lake another foot. They were just on the Weather channel showing Grapevine

It's 563.3 is the predicted crest. 2499 closed in grapevine and fish in front yards in Coppell.

These pics. are from today (6-19-2015).

This 'was' my daily commute to work and back. With the Grapevine dam road out, and now 2499 out until further notice, tens of thousands of us commuters are up [censored] creek without a paddle for a while.

Those are awesome pics...my driving solutiion instead of 2499 or even Lakeside to 121 was simply to go 3040 to Lewisville and get on 121 South. Worked fine this AM and when I left work I took Freeport to Southestern to Denton Tap north and took that all the way to 3040. It works but lots of lights so not quick but beats sitting in tons of traffic on Lakeside.

Million dollar question is how long until the recedes and 2499 is reopened. Anyone have any idea?

121 has been a parking lot for the last 2 days. Honestly there's just no where for the traffic to go. The only solution is to relax and find something good on the radio.

As for it re-opening. . .man who knows. Once the water recedes, there's likely gonna be some serious damage that needs repair. I was watching the latest vid of the the spillway I could find and the road is completely washed out there.
