I've got to give a BIG shout out to Suzanne at GoPro for her outstanding customer service. Two weeks ago I knocked my GoPro of the boat at the dock in 12 feet of water. To shorten the story I'll just say after dropping a Aqua view down and locating it and retrieving it after 4 hrs under water with a slab loaned to me by another very friendly guy, I thought the ordeal was over since it was in a waterproof case, nope! The case leaked, I called GoPro, that's where Suzanne comes in, of course proof of purchase within the past year was needed, again nope! See the camera was a gift from my wife August of 2013 making it almost 1.5 yrs old and the warrenty card wasn't sent in! After days of trying to get the receipt I emailed Suzanne and told her thanks for the help but was unable to get the receipt and that my luck was just following its usually path for the past couple of months (power head replaced, 4 bank battery charger replaced, power steering pump on my truck going out which is just out of warranty, and my 79 yr old mother has been very sick and in the hospital for two weeks, she was released Wedesday) On Monday I received a email from Suzanne saying she had gone to bat and got the OK to replace my camera. I know it's a long read to just make a point that there's still some good people out there that you may never meet but I have no doubt Suzanne with GoPro is one of them! Thanks Suzanne, maybe my luck is turning around!
