Hey guys! I had a son at the end of last year and havent done much fishing since then, also working night shifts means I get the pleasure on my off days of staying up with him all hours of the night so thats a no go. Recently decided to head over to wright patman within the next month as I believe all of the rain we have been getting lately should help bring the fish into the spillway!
Has anybody heard anything about the current status of fishing at Wright Patman Dam?

Just came across this video! That is where I plan to try my luck with catfishing! The dam is releasing a TON less water right now so I am hoping it will be a slow flow and nice and full of water and fish!

I have never seen it quite that hi but I have not fished in a long time. In my experience the fishing was difficult but good in the high water. I would take my heavy duty Berkley Big Game spinning outfit and cast 3/4 ounce yellow bucktail jigs and catch buffalo. That was one rod bending fight in that current.
