If there's ever a time and place for this article, it's RIGHT NOW.

Yep it's true! Respect has been lost these days. I've seen days when i caught just one small fish in some way off spot. Only to have several boats come in full blast to kill any chance of catching more. Move again and repeat the cycle again. Then you get so mad would like to teach them a quick lesson. duel

This was a great article and so right that common courtesy has went out the window and sure hope everyone read Greg Hackney's bass article on sharing water and that also was a great article.

Kind of funny reading that article. Almost same exact thing happened to my son and I at Alan Henry last Saturday. I pulled up to a point and was zig zagging across looking for fish. Passed over in 40', nothing, 30', nothing, then 25' I marked fish. As I'm turning around I see this boat headed straight towards us. So I killed the motor and dropped the trolling motor to let him know my intentions.

I trolled on top of the point and marked fish. I backed off about 15-20 yards and set my spot lock and began casting towards where I marked the fish.

This gentleman trolled right over where I marked the fish. I was literally casting right at his motor. Didn't seem to bother him one bit.

Even turned off my radio and carried on a conversation with the man. Had my son with me so wasn't going to say anything.

you did not throw a 2 oz spoon at him ?

you did not cuss hm up and down?

you did not throw your bell anchor through his floor?

you did not threaten him and challenge him to a "bank boxing match"?

you may get bashed by the progressive keyboard cowgirls

and BTW, good job on exhibiting calm and cool behavior to your child!
