My girlfriend was in a car accident recently and will be wheel chair bound for some time.
I know it would cheer her up to get out and go fishing.
Does anyone know of some good spots that would be wheelchair friendly?

Close to Little elm would be best, but we will drive a bit for a nice day out.

Random thought, i wonder if i can mount a Rod holder to the chair.... smile

Thanks for a the suggestion... a bit of a drive, but i always like checking out new places.
I also found South Lakes park in Denton. Looks like it has a pier that might be easy to get to.

I've been in a wheelchair since September myself. Not many options out there I'm afraid.

Josey Ranch Park in Carrollton. The pond behind the Senior Center has access and the pond at the Athletic Complex has access. Both have piers and paved side walks. Both hold a good mix of fish. Short drive from the Little Elm area. Enjoy and if you go post some pic's.
