TRWD Announcement:

Posted 6/17/2015

Due to heavy rainfall that has fallen in Parker and Wise Counties this afternoon, the Tarrant Regional Water District (TRWD) will close Lake Bridgeport to boaters and recreational activities tonight at 6 p.m. In addition, Eagle Mountain Lake will be closed later tonight due to heavy inflows from Tropical Storm Bill that are expected to arrive at the reservoir over the next several hours.

Wakes created by boaters could cause property damage at both reservoirs. In addition, rising lake levels and debris could create hazardous conditions for other recreational activities. The public is urged to use extreme caution near these reservoirs over the next several days, as conditions could change quickly.

TRWDs staff monitors conditions at Lake Bridgeport, Eagle Mountain and Lake Worth 24-hours a day during potential flooding situations.
