Fork is fishing ok, not great but still good.
Grab a guide for a day to help you with the current bite, it would be worth it.

from what I've seen here and Facebook bite was just OK last weekend, but has picked up this week especially with the tropical storm. now by next week it may be one of those "you should have been here last week". the guides have been wacking them this week though.

A few weeks may be very hot weather.

Lots of great lakes to fish within a hour or so from Fork.....

Its been tough the last few times I've been out there, I was there last week. It's always tough but I think its harder than usual for this time of year due to several factors. But I would still go, there is always that chance of catching some big fish or maybe the fish of a lifetime.

Somebody is always catching them on Fork. Doesn't matter the week. I would go earlier rather than later.

what groupie said. One factor that Lake Fork has not delt with in a long time is the fact that it is OVERFULL.

So the SRA is pulling water thru the gates. And historically when water is being pulled the fish don't bite as well as usual. You might want to see where they stand with still pulling water into next week.

I hope it stops soon as I have a tournament next Thursday.

Well just call me biased but, I would go to Fork anytime. Oh Yeah it can get tough but " the next cast may be IT". Prob. would opt. to go sooner than later when it gets REAL HOT AND HUMID. Best when its overcast. It helps.

I fished June 5,6 and 7 caught about 15 fish.
then went back June 12,13 and 14 caught another 15 fish.
Boat docks, Boat Docks, Boat Docks and timber on drop shot, was producing. The fish are roaming a lot. Checking out their new environment - as it's been about 3 years since the docks have had decent water around them and most of the new bass are just like any bass on any other lake, they like shade. I'd love to tell you about some great grass fishing, but it just is not that thick yet.
The thermocline has not really established itself yet, so the deep water bite is few and far between. Shad are everywhere, so look for ambush points.

I couldn't catch a decent under or an over last weekend at the Skeeter owners' Tourney but I had a good time.

Whether you think you can or you can't, you are probably right.

Water clarity is gonna be really bad next week. But water will be cooler than if you want to wait. If you're wanting to fish deeper, I'd definitely wait. Shallow, your chances are probably the same either week.

It has been s little tough to say the least. Lake just started settling in and stabilizing when Tropical Depression a Bill came through. Now, it is starting all over again. Was a little quicker this time. Looks like another system is headed that way this evening.
