Took my wife out on our kayaks, as we paddled out we encountered a white bass school.

Not sure how long it was going on, but it was certainly dying out as we got there.
I'm sure me paddling over it didn't help, but in my defense, there was no surface activity where I was paddling.

I saved the graphs in case anyone was interested. I pulled a few keepers out, but didn't take any pictures as I'm still far too afraid to use my phone on the water. scared

It wasn't a big school, but for me it is interesting to see how my sounder works.

Truth be told, I didn't even notice at the time that I was over the school. Either I was too focused on fishing or the giant depth reading covered up any surface activity I would have been seeing.

Having a recording of fish really helped me out with adjusting my settings though. I went and played the recording on my unit and paused it at the moment the fish were on the screen. This let me adjust the sensitivity and colors to the point that the fish jump out at me, while still being able to see structure and shadows.

You can change the size of the numbers on the graph. I stay in SI most of the time, and almost never use that tri-screen view.

Thanks for the replies.

I haven't yet figured out how to change the size of the numbers. I also don't generally run in triview mode, especially on my tiny screen, those pictures were just taken out of humviewer and I wanted to include all the data.

I haven't tried staying in side view yet because I didn't have a good color setting for the unit, where for sure I would see fish.

My wife and I went out again last night but I left the depth finder at home -- I was meaning to test it with my new settings. Would have been good too since we were on the sandbass again. Such is life!

I noticed you're in Lake Dallas, are you fishing Lewisville? If so where are you launching at? Haven't been out since the it was only a foot over and I've been wanting to get back out but figured all the parks were closed.

I've been fishing Grapevine recently. All the places I would put in at in Lewisville are under water right now.

I really would like to find a place on Lewisville I could put in at, I wouldn't mind trying for some Hybrids.
