Caught it on a piece of cut skipjack, 10 ft 600 lb steel leader with 15/0 hook. Towards the end of the fight the reel broke loose from the rod handle (rust). We had to improvise so i wrapped all the line i could around the rod handle, and pumped him in to finish tiring him out! ps: im 6'6 320 pounds so the shark may not look it but it was a little over 6'.

here's a low quality video of the fight. reel comes off at end!

literally had the time of my life catching that shark.. Guide Ryan Waggoner took us fishing for trout for 2 mornings but we caught our limit so fast i requested targeting sharks.
