Well, the forecast said thunder storms today (I haven't gone to sleep so it is still Tuesday to me) but I refused to sit around the house. I looked outside and nothing but dark clouds, the rain had just let up. I looked out my window to the north and saw clouds that looked less menacing closer to the lake. The flags outside told me the wind couldn't be any harder than 10mph. I told myself this was my opportunity to see if I really found a hybrid honey hole. I was right. Going solo on the water with little chop, no rain, no lightning or even thunder. I couldn't keep up with the bending rods, reeling in two at a time, shad breaking the surface and sand bass and hybrids right on top of them. If only I had more daylight. It's time to replace brand new treble hooks on brand new baits.
