Im looking at getting another rod to throw tx rigs, I also will throw weightless senkos sometimes as well. Im looking for a rod with great sensitivity as anyone would with fishing plastics. I have a Duckett micro magic and I love that rod but was just wanting to see what other rods had to offer such as Dobyns. Let me know what yall think!

I have never bought the expensive rods. I like lightning rods and the 6-1/2 footer for texas rigging. I flip and pitch a texas rig a lot and can manage it better than the longer rods.

I like the Lightning Rod "Shock", I have 6 and they hold up well,I'm very hard on rods so no $200 rods for me,(I usually step on them).

Dobyns Champion or Extreme Kistler KLX or LTA Powell Max or Endurance series Loomis IMX series Shimano Crucial or Cumara Falcon Low Rider or Cara
The list goes on and on. There are a lot of good rods on the market that work well as a Tx. rig rod.
I use a Dobyns Extreme 744, 745, a Champion 705, and a Kistler LTA for throwing soft plastics I have a Powell Endurance 714 that is one of the best all around rods that I have used. It works for many different applications.

A Texas rig rod is one where the more expensive quality rods REALLY PAY OFF. The things have to be strong, lightweight, and very sensative.
Best I've ever used? Falcon Cara ST Amistsd. Period. The best. Seconds? GLX series W&J and a Daiwa Steez series. Both were heavy and around 7'1. They just were not quite as good as my Cara rods. So, they've been sold, traded, whatever.
Eat. Sleep. Fish.

I like the Falcon Lizzard Dragger for Texas rig and jigs up to about 1/2 oz. You can get the Bucoo micro series for around $120. Best bang for the buck, I have a few of them
