I am looking for a fishing pier since Joe Pool is out for the summer. Looking at the map, I see a place called Augies which looks pretty good. I also see a place called Lauderdale's listed on the TPWD page, but I cannot find it on Google Maps.
If you were an old coot who can no longer fish from a boat where would you go? I am interested in panfish and catfish, not bass.
. Seventy five years of chasing the elusive sunfish.

augies is on the left just west of twin points entrance. lauderdales is across the dam, big marina, can't miss it. Don't know if they allow people to fish there unless you rent a slip.

Lauderdales was bought out a while ago and is now Boon Docks. I don't think they allow any fishing there. Augies has a long pier. I heard it gets crowded on weekends. Other than that, You'll really just have to drive around the lake and find a spot that doesn't have a house and try to fish. Not a whole lot of places to bank fish at Eagle Mountain. Good Luck!

Try Lake Worth just to the south of EM. Plenty of shore fishing available. The only problem is, I believe, there is a consumption advisory there, so pretty much catch and release.
