I'd go with Randy. He has some good shad catchers and a nice bait tank. Without Shad PK is gonna be tough. I caught about a dozen nice perch yesterday and only got one bite, so I doubt they are the answer. If you try and catch shad yourself you could easily lose a net on one of the old cedars or a recently submerged Mesquite tree.

I agree with this.

I havent used Randy as a guide, but he is always well spoken of here and was generous with information a couple of years ago when I pm'd some questions.

I have fished with Mike Acosta 3 different times on 3 different lakes, including PK last summer. We caught fish all 3 times and he was very patient with my kids on the 2 trips I took them along. He will have live shad.

If you can you might want to wait. Raining right now as hard as I've ever seen it. Last time I saw rain like this was 07 flood. The lake will go muddy again.
