Hi,

Planning to go out in my 14' tin boat early 6am ish, Sat morning until noon and considering launching at the SH-66 ramp. My theory is to stay away from the waves / rollers and just fish for anything but catfish up north. Taking my 74 yr old father for the first time and don't want to beat him to death bouncing over the waves.

Any thoughts / advice ?

-thanks
-rob

We fish out of that ramp all the time we go way up north to where lavon water comes in always good for cats, buy saw some sandies caught there as well. Most guys run up river towards spillway. I hope that helps

Thanks Poppa .. Not sure if we will try to run up the river .. I was thinking we will work the rip-rap and bridge columns on SH-66.

But glad to hear the ramp is good to go.

-thanks, rob
