The wife and I are heading to Tampa for the fourth and I was wanting to get in some bass fishing. Any suggestions on what lake we should hit? We will more than likely hire a guide.

We will be in St Pete same time. We are hiring a guide to go bay fishing. Good luck!

Her dad is going to take us bay fishing.... figured I might as well get some Florida bass fishing in as well. Baseball, family and fishing... Sounds like a heck of a fourth to me!

I'd saltwater fish two days...its one of the best inshore fisheries in the country, the timing is great and bass fishing in Florida is pretty darn tough in July.

It's been a while, but Mike Manning was one of the best salt guides. Used him many times back a few years ago

I fished with Capt. Brett Norris last year and highly recommend him. We caught over 40 big redfish in a half day trip, it was stupid.

Go to the Big O, worked down there for 2 years. Tarpon is good, close to Tampa and several small lakes near Tampa/Bradenton/Sarasota. Good Luck
