Silver lake is the only ramp open on Grapevine. Not sure about the parking situation. Good luck & welcome to the forum!

Hidden Cove was the last ramp to close on Lewisville, but I don't remember what the water level was before they closed. I think they were still open at 11ft high, but I can't remember - seems like forever ago.

I think with the current forecast that August 11th date may be pushed back... several models have us getting 8+ inches in the next few days... which will refill everything that they just emptied out... and then some.

Silver Lake is open. I plan on going to Grapey Thursday when I get back in town. I'm very curious of the water clarity though. It was like dark chocolate milk a few weeks ago.

I do not understand why they haven't exploited this window to let some more water out. The Elm Fork has been down quite a bit for a week or so.

it all empties into the trinity - they are feeding into it at capacity w/o taking it beyond safe flood stage. from what i've seen on the various forums - grapevine is the dam in the best condition with least collateral damage (read flooded properties)so COE let it fill the most and stay full the longest w/ all other lakes taking priority in emptying into the trinity.

Just drove over to Eagle Point Marina on the west side of Lewisville near Sneaky Pete's. There is a ramp that is open on the south west side of the marina. Its a private ramp owned by the marina and has signs saying vehicles without marina pass permit will be towed. Saw several boats launch most from Ski Dallas dealership being towed by tractors and dropped off. Stopped at Eagle point marina and asked if I could pay to launch. They told me I could not buy a one day or monthly ramp pass and would have to buy a yearly dry storage lot and the cost was $176 a month for the cheapest one!!!! and I would have to pay for the whole year!!!. What a rip off. Cant wait till the public ramps open, Im gonna be fishing the marina exclusively with a 1 ounch tungsten weight pithcing it as hard as I can in between the boats and docks. Hope I don't miss the water! Typical Bull $$$$$ at Eagle Point Marina.

Silver lake marina on Grapevine is charging $20.00 to use that ramp. I think that stinks.

Hvtexskeeter, How is it a rip off when that's their prices 24/7 365 days a year? They do not have the parking to accommodate the public.
