So I had a buddy send me this picture. He explained to me that these guys brought in this 35 lb. black drum on a med-light rod.

Nice... they pull like a long slow freight train.
The little ones are great eating. I caught a 25'lber the other day and released it.

The crazy thing is they were using a Med-light rod, I mean who does that. I would have expected the rod to break after 10-15 min bending and pulling like that. He told me that the fish fought for 20-25min before they got it in, and the rod was bent like that the whole time.

I've caught one in the 30's I'm almost certain on a med-light could have been a med though. Either way with 20lb fluoro it was every bit of a 25 min fight.
