i think we need more people knowing about the forum and more people sharing when they have good trips. I think fishermen need people who don't fish to get into the sport so the sport grows and all these kids get off of their cell phones and video games. Plus it seems just when something is getting good the gov't ruins it by taking charge so we might as well get it while it is good. Pay it forward guys and grow the sport and have some fun catching fish. Love the forum and thanks for sharing. Not many people like to go fishing just to be out there most like to go catching or not interested. Just my two cents. In today's world there are very few secrets. If you want a private fishing hole then save your money and buy land with a good size tank/pond.

how to ruin a good little lake ... Nah. Everyone and their momma knows about Gilmer. Thats the problem with people these days. Everyone is hush hush and is too afraid someone is going to ruin "their" spot. The internet has and will devastate good smaller lakes, take a trip to Mill Creek or Bonham and get back to me... Honey hole has been doing it for 20 years... Lakes change, population grows, I'd rather have more ppl fishing cause fishermen tend to vote right Re-learn the lake, they are there

I almost always answer pm asking for info.....but I don't really talk much either.....gets to be a point where enough is enough already..... 40-50 boats on a 900 acre lake is the pits

Bill just did a show on Lake Gilmer. I guess nobody watches it. You secret is safe... I have never been to Gilmer actually, so I have no "secrets" as you assumed and falsely stated. I was just stating my opinion of what I have seen the internet do to some smaller lakes. But, I guess since I do not agree with you and your TFF lynch mob I am in the wrong. Sorry I disagreed with the progressives of the TFF...

No apologies necessary on my part Doug. We usually see things in the same light and I hear what you are saying.

Some of you guys need to relax a little, there's absolutely nothing wrong with sharing info about a lake or techniques/presentations or patterns. That's what this forum is for. I've shared info on locations and exactly what the fish were biting and most not all guys will tweak a presentation to the way that they like to fish and then wonder why they're not catching. I tell them C-rig the road bed and they drag a jig on the humps. I say trick worms weightless wacky style in the grass and they fish senko's texas style in the stumps, so It really does'nt matter what you tell guys, most will always revert back to what they are used to. Most will go to Gilmer fish 3hrs catch nothing and go home so relax.
