Anybody else had any issues with the paint on your Talon coming off? Got off Fork this afternoon and noticed the paint on the bottom just flaking off.

Yes. A buddy of mine and I both have brand new talons, and the pain around the base is coming off. How long have you had yours?

Like 6 months. Never rubbed a stump or anything. Looks like carp now. Whats the deal?

I think it's from water spray. Paint started peeling off mine on the 2nd or 3rd day on the water.

mechanically it is fine. Not real happy about a $2000 piece of equipment that has paint peeling off of it though for no good reason besides possible water spray.

Well, if you want to call it that. Some of us take care of our boats and equipment and like it looking good.

Point of the post was I can't believe a $2,000 piece of equipment is so cheap to just have the paint peel right off of it. Didn't know if anybody else had run into this problem.

Got a lot of use out of mine and no mechanical or cosmetic problems.

That was mine on the 515 bridge. The tilt bracket broke. The Minn Kota rep at the tourney told me that they are warrantied and to include the coating peeling of and they are supposed to be sending me new ones. I sure do like the Talons over the power poles!
