I own one and love it. I own both some kayaks and then the porta-bote. They sell via individual distributors. If your really interested I'd suggest hitting up their website or calling them to see who is covering your area and going to see the boats in person. You can usually call that distributor directly and see where/when they are showing next (depending on the person they usually do local outdoor conferences or flea markets). Most are also willing to schedule demo's with you (time/distance permitting).

They were running a special through the 19th including free shipping. There is a state representative for the company in Rockwell I got an email from. Seems like a classy company and a good boat in the jon class. I have been debating a top float tube, kayak or jon boat and still undecided. Mute point for me at present since I am working so much little time to fish anyway.

I have one. Feels a little weird but it is actually really stable. I've had it out in the middle of lake Lewisville when it was whitecapping and made it back just fine.
The seats are not that sturdy. A heavy person can cause the seat supports to break through into the plastic seats.
I am thinking of making a new transom because the original is looking a bit weak with age.
The hull is still fine after 10 years but the keel (which looks like a piece of split plastic pipe) keeps coming off.
I liked it when I didn't have a pick-up. I strapped it on top of my camry.

I have an older one and it is still holding up fine. I put a 6 hp motor on it and oars and rigged up a depth finder and it does fine. I have been in some pretty big water and never felt at ease in this boat. I use it most of the time when I am pulling my camper but lately it has been my go to boat on these flooded lakes.
