I was fishing fork last weekend. Saw many bunches of shad spawning in the mouths of coves. Tons of shad surfacing for a long time and no fish busting. Is this normal? Is there a different way to fish around thes spawners? I figured it would be easy money once I found these huge pockets of shad. Fished top water, cranks, and flukes. From 5 to 20 ft of water. Big shad.

Shad spawn is over. They are just schools of shad.
