BCJC82 fished with me on Tuesday.
The places that we found them biting at was an awesome bite thumb

We went into Big Mustang and there was a reverse current flowing noidea
I remember reading about this topic last year, but never saw a MAJOR current flow like we did.
A 1/32 jighead wouldn't go down in the areas with current and we didn't catch any fish there with larger jig heads.

Here's BCJC with a goodun' - He's Big Boy, so the fish is dwarfed cheers

Ended up with 17 nice ones cheers

Yesterday, my old creek fishing buddy, Winnie Meat, fished with me. We fished a lot of places, but only caught fish in 2 of them.
After I had put 6 fish in the boat, I finally convinced WM that the 1/32 jig head moving was the ticket thumb
He complained that it took too long for the jig to get down. I told him "Go ahead, use your heavier jighead, get it down there fast and I'll out fish you 10 to 1" roflmao
As soon as he converted, he started catching fish banana

We fished about 6 more areas that had fish, but the wouldn't bite bang
Move 45yds to another bp and it was game on!!!! thumb

We fished a BIG laydown in 24 fow with limbs that come up to 12' and a PVC bp in 18 fow.
Most of the fish came from approx. 15' down.

After I got WM catching fish, I played around with colors and different size jigheads
The results that I came up with is 1/32oz jigheads, slowly raising it and then letting it fall back down.
Used Black Emerald Shiner Lil' Frys & Slab Bugs and when the bite slowed, change to Ice Shad and they would start biting again.
Another piece of the puzzle is to fish fast, meaning keep moving until you find fish willing to bite, because once you do, it's fast fun action dance2

I used the Spot Lock on my Ulterra at both places. It works a lot better in the wind than when it's calm. I just moved to the upwind side of the area, pushed the button and forgot about the trolling motor and concentrated on fishing woot

We caught 2 limits with most over 11", Wm threw some 10.5" fish in roflmao
We had 5 over 2#

I hope that the pieces of the puzzle I have put together help somebody, but it may all have already changed hammer
I really don't think much will change, except I hope the other places turn on

Thanks for the report Todd, great to see folks helping others to catch some slabs.. Now that I see what your boat looks like I will say hi if I see ya out on the lake...

When I pass on I want to go like my grandpa, in my sleep.. Not like the screaming folks in the car with him..

Good report, thanks a lot. We've got big current in the lake I'm fishing at least until it quits going over the spillway.

Yes, another great outing I see! Thanks again for firing us up!! I can't wait to get back from DC to arrange an outing with you TBox! My recent order of those exact baits should arrive and be waiting on me when I return! Keep up the great work/postings! Thanks.
